Experienced Motivational Teacher
My name is Pamela Joy Friske NCTM, and I love music. I currently serve as President-Elect of the SLC Chapter of UTMA. My passion for music drives my desire to instill confidence and a love of music in my students. My students enjoy performing in piano, voice, and theatre.
A little more about me:
I have been performing in public since age 4
I have studied piano music since the age of 8
I began accompanying choirs and individuals at age 13
I started teaching piano at age 18
I was the director of a performing arts troupe in Austin, TX, for 10 years
I’ve directed over 120 musical theater, dance, and singing shows performed by children and teens. I have taught private and group piano for over 35 years. My studies include piano pedagogy under the former Paul Pollei at BYU, as well as piano and voice with Lila Sayre, a Juilliard full scholarship graduate.
As a member of MTNA, I strive to stay current and engaged in piano and voice. Having taught over 1,000 students in my career, my goal is to bring out the best in each student and help them develop their unique talents.
